Verna Fischer Obituary Fischer, Verna L. Age 82 of Wayzata (formerly of Annandale). Passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2015. Preceded in death by husband, William J. Fischer (1987) and son, John Fischer (2002); also by parents, Clarence and Anna Lekander and siblings, LaVern Lekander, Ruby Obinger, and Lois Sikkila. Survived by daughters, Patricia Fischer of Wayzata, Beth Fischer (Chuck Miller) of Minnetonka, and Janice Fischer of Minnetonka; and grandson, James Fischer (Kelly Gerrits). Verna retired from Hennepin Technical College. Funeral service Friday, August 21, 10 AM at Mt Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis. Visitation Thursday, August 20, 5-8 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata and 1 hour before the service at church.
