Vicki Vickerman Obituary In loving memory of Vicki Rae Vickerman, born July 11, 1941, and who left this world October 29, 2024. Vicki was a vibrant force of nature, a loving wife, mother, and friend, and was known as "Nana" to anyone who ever met her. She was always prepared to entertain with a fridge full of appetizers, a bar full of cocktails, and laughter waiting to erupt.
Her great love was her husband David, who stood by her side for nearly 50 years. Together, they traveled the world, played countless rounds of cards and raised four amazingly talented and surprisingly good looking children. In spite of a very busy and active household, she managed to keep a positive attitude and inspired laughter for everyone who visited.
Vicki had a knack for making everyone feel like family, often insisting that you take leftovers home. She would often exclaim, "I was taught to cook for a crowd", a trait that she learned from her mother. True to Vickis zest for good times, she was surrounded by family, and laughed and told stories right up to the end.
Vicki is survived by her sons Scott Stevenson (Jeremy), Mark Vickerman (Stacie) and daughter Kris Kovalik (Robert), as well as her 7 grandchildren Zo, Ella, Shane, Josh, Tyler, Ryan and Noah. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Thelma Borgonjon, and her son Jeff Stevenson.
Though Vicki has departed, her spirit will linger in every elaborate hand-made Christmas bow, every deck of cards, and every party thrown in her honor.
A celebration of Vickis life will take place on December 5, 2024, from 4-8 PM, at Lord Fletchers Old Lake Lodge, 3476 Sunset Drive, Spring Park, MN 55384.
