William Gavaras Obituary Biography Bill, age 98, beloved husband and father, passed away on April 9. Bill was Business Manager for Willmar Public Schools and Wayzata Public Schools. He served as President for the MN Assoc. of School Business Officials. After retirement in 1980, Bill volunteered for a number of organizations and committees including Story Theater, Plymouth Seniors, Robbinsdale Seniors and more. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Viola, brother Tom, and wife Georgia. He is survived by his sister Lene; children, Teddi Kales (Alex), Elaine Gavaras (Chuck Bayerl) and Tom Gavaras (Julie Bess); grandchildren, Jamie (Monica), Bradley (Michelle), Kelly (Sean) and Mark (Whitney); great-grandchild, Casimir William. Visitation on Tuesday, April 12 from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 6 pm at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd E, Wayzata. On Wednesday, April 13, visitation at 10 am and funeral service at 11 am (lunch follows) at St. Marys Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave S, Mpls. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar, MN.
