William Rosengren Obituary Rosengren, William Roy Age 72, of Plymouth, MN, died in his home July 13, 2006 of complications from kidney cancer. He is survived by his dear wife Rosemarie of 47 years; daughters, Catherine (Robert) Kruse and Amy (Robert) Hill; sons, Steven (Jeanne) Rosengren and John (Maria) Rosengren; grandchildren, Michael and Emily Kruse, Benjamin, Abby and William Rosengren, Alison and Brendan Rosengren, and Libby Hill. Also survived by his brother, Paul (Shirley) Rosengren and their four children. Preceded in death by infant grandson Andrew Hill. Bill was a man of deep faith and very devoted to his family. He grew up in South Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School, the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Law School. He had a wonderful sense of humor. While in school, he was an award-winning cartoonist for the Roosevelt Standard and the Minnesota Daily. Bill served as an officer in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957. After private law practice with the Minneapolis firms of Dygert & Riordan and Wright & West, and as Senior Attorney with International Multifoods, Bill joined Ecolab Inc. in 1973 as General Counsel where he established the company's first law department. He retired from Ecolab as Sr. Vice President and General Counsel at the end of 1997. In the 1960's, Bill taught evening classes in business law, University of Minnesota General Extension Division. His service on boards of directors included Amicus, Inc., The Science Museum of Minnesota and the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota. He was also a past president of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association. The family would like to express gratitude to the caring medical personnel at University of Minnesota Medical Center of Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Hospital staff, and Fairview Hospice Care. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 155 County Road 24, Wayzata. Visitation will be on Monday, July 17 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, from 5:30-8:00 p.m., and 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church on July 18. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Paul on July 18. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, the Kidney Cancer Association, or any pro-life organization. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
