Willliam 'Bill' Weeks Obituary Weeks, William (Bill) D.
Bill (age 78) of Spring Park peacefully passed away on December 27, 2022 due to Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was at home in hospice care with his loving wife, June, by his side. Born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, Bill moved to Lake Minnetonka at age 10. He loved his 68 years on the lakewaterskiing and boating when he was young and later relaxing with June watching sunsets and reading on the deck of their home for over 50 years. In 1966 Bill married June Schroeder. Their 56 years together was a celebration of true devotion and adoring love. They had two sons, David and Jeffrey. Bills greatest joy was his family. He loved to share wonderful meals and host celebrations with extended family, go on boat rides (many on the famed "Weeks End") and enjoy long summer days at the lake with his sons and their families. He loved architecture, cherished his travels with June across the country (especially Florida in the winter) and enjoyed volunteering at church and in his community. He read the newspaper every morning, staying up to date on current events and new technology, always with a coffee mug on his 30-year-old cup warmer. Bill was a passionate child of God and lived his faith every day. His generosity, kindness, patience and humility will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by wife June; sons, David (Elise) and Jeffrey (Angie); 6 grandchildren, Isabella Fields (Luke), Dexter, Clara, Simon, Eleanor and Bentley; 2 great-grandsons, twins Jaxon and Nixon; sister, Ann Englund and brother, James (Pam); many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Verna, and brothers John (Jack) and Richard (Dick). A celebration of life service will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 11am at Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen, 3121 Westwood Drive, Excelsior MN. Visitation will be at 10am prior to the service.
