Youree Lejonvarn Obituary Age 78 of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully and comfortably November 30, 2009. Preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Victor, life-long residents of Cannon Falls, MN. Survived by his wife, Edith; brother, Dean; sons: Grant, Scott and Jason; and grandchildren: Andrei, Britt, Sofia and Lia. Youree graduated from Cannon Falls High School, class of 1949. He was class valedictorian and participated in numerous activities including football, basketball, band, choir, student council, and boy scouts among many others and received the citizenship award for 3 years. He attended St Ansgar Church in Cannon Falls where he sung in the choir and participated in Luther League. He graduated from the University of MN, class of 1953, earning a BA in Business Administration; he was drafted by the US Army in 1954 and stationed in West Germany where he enjoyed travel and photography. He married in 1960 and started his career with Donaldsons and Powers Department Stores as a controller and a credit manager, respectively. He later worked for Schaper and Tonka Toys as a credit manager. He was a loving husband and supportive dad who reveled in his wifes and sons activities and provided invaluable assistance while getting his sons out of numerous pickles.
