Klumb, Berenice (nee Gilligan)
Age 95, of Bradenton, FL and Plymouth, MN passed away June 4, 2022.
Berenice lived her life with grace and faith. A cloudy day was no match for her sunny disposition. She provided comfort, brightened the mood of those in her presence and had an instinctive ability to sense when someone was troubled and needed an empathetic ear.
Berenice provided love, support, patience and encouragement to her family. Equality and empowerment, especially of women, were important to her.
Berenice loved to dance and sing. It was at a CSO dance that she met her future husband Eugene. Their first dance in a marriage that lasted more than 66 years.
Berenice traveled the world but was always happy to return home whether that be CA, MA, NY, FL or MN. However, Berenice truly left her heart in San Francisco where she was born and raised.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Eugene. Her daughters; Edith Kalweit (Harvey), Marilyn Koltes (Rich), Kristina Sandve (Tim). Her grandchildren: William (Tani), Andrew (Julia), Linda (Keith), Bradley (Andrea), Kassandra (Kevin) and Megan (Damien). Her great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Wyatt, Finn, Piper, Marian, Nolan, June, Hazel, Teddy, Evie, Dakota, Elsie, Kiera, Walker, Elly, Logan, Kenzie, Adaline, Charlotte and Kamryn. Preceding Berenice in death were her parents, brother, sisters and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM on Friday, June 17, 2022 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Wayzata, MN. Arrangements by David Lee Funeral Home, Wayzata, MN.
The Klumb family would like to thank the staff at Homewatch Caregivers, Home Instead and Lyngblomsten Care Center for their compassionate care during Berenice's journey home. We are forever grateful.
