Bernice Peters Obituary


Peters (Lyons Kenney), Bernice Bing I. Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother of Wayzata, MN, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Friday, April 3, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Martha Lyons Kenney & Charles Lyons; husband, Joseph A. Peters; sister, Mardelle Mardy Kenney Webster; and daughter, Carole A. Ring. Survived by sons, Richard C. Peters, & Bruce S. Peters; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. Bernice was a retired employee of Northwestern Bell, where she worked for 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing, and visiting with family and friends. Bernice believed in helping others, she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Minnesota Arboretum, and donated over 8 gallons of blood during her lifetime to Memorial Blood Centers. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation to be held 5-7 PM on Monday, April 6, at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 7, 2009 with visitation one hour prior to service at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth, 17205 County Road Six, 55447, with reception to follow service.
