Age 96 of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2020 in hospice at Nurturing Care in Minnetonka. Born September 22, 1923 to Clarence and Ellen Petersen of Deephaven MN.
She attended Minnesota School of Business, worked in various office settings, sold jewelry, cooked at Town and County Catering in Wayzata, Betty’s cafeteria in Minnesota Rubber in Hopkins, retired from Hammer Residences in Wayzata. In earlier years she operated the Thunderbird Point Resort on Basswood Lake now the Boundary Waters with her first husband, Gordon Wolsfeld. She loved fishing and hunting, cooking, bowling, camping, reading, dancing, doodling faces (found everywhere), painting pictures, canning, going out to lunch, her dogs, her cabin in Wisconsin, but most of all loved her family and was a perfect wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. A long time member of the American Legion and VFW and St Anne’s Catholic Church in Hamel, MN.
Preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Walter Petersen and Donald Petersen, sister, Jean Meyer, daughter, Linda Jimenez, great grandson, Ryan Holt, husband, Donald Kinney and first husband, Gordon Wolsfeld. Survived by daughter, Jeanne Young and husband Dick, Carol Stalcar, son, Stephen Wolsfeld, son-in-law, Joe Jimenez; grandchildren, Cheryl, Domalik, Cari Holt and husband Jeff, Dan Wolsfeld and wife Samantha, John Jimenez and wife Amy, Josh Jimenez, David Kellum, Ashley Nichols, and Tina Wolsfeld; 15 great- grandchildren.
