Betty (Roseth) Rausch aged 75 of Plymouth passed away on April 4, 2022. Betty was born on September 23, 1946, in Austin, Minnesota, where she graduated high school in 1964. Betty met the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Rausch at their adjacent family cabins on Milacs Lake. They were married on June 10th, 1967, in Austin. Betty attended Methodist Kahler School of Nursing and graduated in 1967. She worked in the surgery department at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. After 39 years in the career she loved, she retired in 2006.
Her desire to help others brought her to volunteer at Messiah Church as a driver for Meals on Wheels for over 40 years and helping to coordinate the program for several. She was also a coordinator for the yearly blood drives at the church.
Her love for music was evident through singing with the Messiah Church traditional choir and the Minnetonka Symphony choruses. She played handbells at Messiah and with Aldersgate Church Ding Dong Dollies. She enjoyed activities including bowling, cross country skiing, gardening, painting, and everything family.
Preceded in death by parents Oscar and Dorothy Roseth and brother David Roseth.
Survived by her husband of 54 years Dick Rausch, daughter Susan (Kevin) Kimble of Jackson, MS; son Donald (Amy) Rausch and grandson Adrian of Britt, MN; sisters-in-law Diane Roseth, Diane (Craig) Markell; brothers-in-law Craig (Mary) Rausch, and Ronald (Carolyn) Rausch; and many nephews and nieces.
Services will be held 11:00am on Saturday, April 23rd at Messiah Methodist church in Plymouth, MN. Visitation is one hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Messiah Church: 17805 County Road 6, Plymouth MN or Meals on Wheels: 1200 Washington Ave S Ste 380, Minneapolis, MN 55415.
