Bruna Leonard
Age 91, passed away November 16, 2022. Lived a life full of family, friends and experiences. She was born in Toronto to immigrant parents from Italy. Her heritage made her a lifelong hugger and talker. She married a man she met working at her local grocery store and they created a beautiful, long life together.
She lived throughout the U.S. with her husband, Ron and their three children, Paul, Sandra and Ronda before settling in Minnesota to raise her family, which she did through delicious food and a welcoming home. A big table packed with loved ones and overflowing with home cooked goodness just may have been her favorite place to be. Her spaghetti was her love language to all of us.
Her and Ron started spending winters in Florida so they could golf year-round and live their happiest lives together. Between Minnesota and Florida, they accumulated many close friends. If Bruna wasn’t golfing, she was playing cards or going out with her friends. Her social life remained bustling up until her last days.
Bruna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron, her sister, Nellie, and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Velma (Fred), her children, Paul (Ann), Sandra (Wayne) and Ronda (Brian); her grandchildren, Annie, Curtis (Katee) and Carly (Fabian) and her great-grandchildren, Helena, Milo, Lucy, and Lydia. It blew her mind that she lived long enough to become a great-grand mother and her whole family is grateful for all the years we got to live and be loved by her. Bruna, and her hugs, will be very missed.
