Charlotte Comfort (Elmburg) Schafer

Schafer, Comfort Charlotte (Linder) age 87 passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Crystal, Minnesota on April 8, 2023. She lived a long and full life… was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.  Our mom enjoyed spending time with her loving family and many friends, traveling, gardening, cooking and selling her crafts, including her most famous Paper Tole. She loved playing cards, puzzles read every book written, and attended bible study. She volunteered for many years at Park Nicollet Breast Center   She has been known to help out in political campaigns. She has a beautiful voice and would harmonize with her sisters. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will always hold a place in our hearts. Preceded in death by her mother, Irene Elmburg; father, Gilbert Elmburg; sisters, Karen Weisner and Nancy Ripley; former husband, James Linder.

Survived by husband, Keith Schafer; 4 children, Jodie Behling and husband Kenny, Marie Barta and husband Kevin, Tony Linder and wife Kathy, and Maggie Linder; 12 grandchildren, Nick Behling, Kelsey Linder- Abbott  and husband Luke,  Kirsten Biener, Hannah Botha and husband Corne, Jesse Barta, TJ Linder, Heather Linder, Andrew Barta, Mandy Behling, Ally Behling, Becky Schafer and Ellie Barta; sister, Mary Sperry; step children, Scott Schafer and wife Kathy, Steve Schafer; 5 great-grandchildren as well as other loving relatives and friends.

Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata with visitation one hour prior.
