Hall, Craig Michael
cherished husband of Mary Wells Gorman, stepfather to Sarah Gorman and Elizabeth Gorman Shaw, beloved by Mary’s extended family, and also survived by a sister and her family. He was born in Jackson, Michigan, to Keith and Ennis Sherman Hall on November 18, 1947, and passed away on August 28, 2020 in Minnetonka.
Craig was an architect, structural engineer, and medical facility planner extraordinaire who began his career in Detroit and later worked at Ellerbe Becket, TSP, Pope Architects, and Mayo Health. He often would say, “I love it when a plan comes together.” Craig was a mentor to many, including his wife, who is so thankful for his wise counsel and confidence in her. Cancer took so much from them, but not their unending love.
Craig enjoyed the summer he’d hoped for over the past five months, thanks to the extraordinary care of Fairview Hospice, which enabled him to live at home, with dignity, and without pain. Caregivers Dayna and Duwanna (our Miss Joy and Delight), Willie May, and Tim brought comfort and wisdom. Remembrances may be sent to Fairview Hospice, www.fairview.org/foundation.
A celebration of Craig’s life, respecting COVID with masks and social distancing, will be held in the driveway of his home at 4421 Eastwood Rd., Minnetonka, 55345 on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. Condolences may be left at davidleefuneralhome.com.
