Dane Christian Pedersen died unexpectedly on September 13, 2023. He was born on May 15, 1990 to James and Evonne Pedersen of Minneapolis. Dane grew up in Minnetonka, MN where he attended Tanglen Elementary School and Hopkins North Junior High School before the family moved to England. There, he attended the ACS International School in Cobham, England for three years of high school, before returning to the United States and graduating from the Leelanau School in Glen Arbor, MI in 2009.
Following high school, he attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston. Music was Dane’s first love, and he was an accomplished guitarist and songwriter with a lovely tenor voice. Dane also had a desire to help people and in 2017 he earned his certificate as an EMT from the Hennepin County Medical Center.
He was a sensitive soul, known for his dry sense of humor, quick wit, and the ability to imitate any accent after hearing it just once.
Dane was preceded in death by grandparents, Dr. Merle and Fern Loken; J. I. and Ruby Pedersen, and Uncle Allen Loken. He is survived by parents; sisters, Lauren (Mike) Freiberg and Kirsten (Phil) Kenny; nieces and nephews, Rose, Mikayla, Joseph, and Trip; aunts and uncles, Ann Pedersen Gleeson, Pat Gleeson, Kim Loken, Gwen and Miguel Bottoli, Lynette and Greg Hayes, Warren and Sandy Loken; and cousins, Troy, Kari, Anthony, Sasha, Tania, Carrie, Elizabeth, Heidi, Wyatt, Marissa, and Chase.
Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth. Visitation one hour prior the service at church.
