Nelson, David G.
Age 73, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully after a short battle with lung cancer on July 11, 2019. Preceded in death by parents, Don and Lili Nelson, and grandson, Henry Frederick.

Dave graduated from Benilde High School in 1963 and attended the University of St. Thomas. Upon graduation in 1967, he began working at Honeywell, Inc., eventually becoming a vice president of Human Resources. In 1989, he made a decision to go out on his own and created three businesses in the field of Human Resources. 

Dave never retired but he also found time to enjoy with family and friends: pool parties, golf, bird hunting, Vikings' games, poker, and travel. Faith was an important part of his life and he was a proud member of Glory of Christ Lutheran Church. Dave was dedicated, ethical, energetic, fun loving with a good sense of humor and he will be greatly missed.

Survived by loving wife of 21 years, Karen; daughters, Tracy (Chris) Brokering, Amy (Monte) Schaffer, Anne (Matt) Brown; 7 grandchildren, Zoe, Lola, Nathan, Theo, Lindsey, Bennett, and Griffin; sister, Connie (Kevin Hipe) and brother, Paul (Tracy); and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

With gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and other caregivers at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Funeral service Wednesday July 17,  1 PM at Glory of Christ Lutheran Church, 4040 County Rd 101, Plymouth. Visitation Tuesday July 16, 5-7 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, all at Glory of Christ Lutheran Church; 763-478-6031.
