Frances Vettel Obituary

Vettel, Frances Elizabeth (Smith) Age 88, Plymouth MN. Passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023. Preceded in death by husband Joe, parents Gerard and Ethel Smith and brothers Junior and Jimmy Smith. Survived by daughter Pam Lampert, son Tom and daughter-in-law Lynn; grandchildren Anne (Adam), Blake (Alyssa), Jack (Melissa), Alex (Michaela) and Kyrie (Jessie); and great-grandchildren Kate, Emma and Russell. Fran was a spunky, stylish and classy woman, smart at numbers, a lover of music; sassy and fierce, warm and loving. In her work life, Fran was the accounting engine for the family business, making sure everything tallied down to the penny. She loved playing golf with Joe and their friends, Chanel #5 and fine dining. She loved her grandchildren as they adored her and she made friends everywhere she went. We love our mom deeply and are thankful that she is at peace and together with her Joe. A Celebration of Life service will be held in late February at Lakewood Cemetery, arrangements by David Lee Funeral Home, Wayzata, MN.
