Ginger Washburn Obituary

Washburn, Ginger Grave died at home on 5 May 2022 at 66, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Charles Washburn and her beloved dog, Tootsie; sister, Gina Grave Coburn (Brad); brothers, Philip Grave (Carol Stender), Peter Grave (Dixie Sanborn) and sister-in-law, Sandra Washburn. Charles and Ginger moved back to Wayzata in 2018, where she was born and raised. A licensed Nurse, Ginger and her business partner, WIlliam Messenger were pioneers in the field of family-system addiction and recovery for people of means and prominence. Here is where Ginger found her calling and passion. Ginger was known for her amazing and creative culinary skills; she loved music and played guitar. Ginger's big heart extended to animals, big and small. She was especially generous to her nieces and nephew. Ginger was an intuitive and deep thinker and a wonderful conversationalist, which made her fun to be around. She was smart and funny, with a dry sense of humor that made everyone crack up. Ginger and Charles were a strong team, with deep and abiding mutual love. They travelled the world; and, collaborated on several design projects, complementing each other beautifully. Ginger was loved and admired by so many and will be greatly missed. The family will host a private celebration of her life.
