Leaf, Janet (Jan) Malmstedt
Age 89 of Plymouth passed away peacefully on September 23after losing her battle to cancer. She was very involved with church throughout her life, having served in leadership positions at both at Plymouth Presbyterian Church and at Grace-Trinity and also for the whole Presbytery. She also served on the board of Clearwater Forest. As a young girl she was involved in Girl Scout and continued that as a leader as her daughter Amy went through Scouts as well. She loved to sing and was involved in church choirs, Manor Tones and the Minnetonka Chorale Society. She loved to be creative using many outlets. She made many personalized gifts for many family members and friends. She found much enjoyment in Counted Cross Stitch and sewing projects. When her dear friend opened up a ceramics studio, Mom found another hobby to enjoy.
Jan was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Mary Malmstedt and brother, John Malmstedt and husband, Jerry. She is survived by son, David (Marie) and daughters, Amy and Sarah (Mark Kipp); grandchildren, Timothy (Olinka), Joshua (Amanda Clear), Mary, Joanna, and Melissa; and three great granddaughters, Mirah, Ennah and Arabella; and many nieces and nephews.
