Joan O'Brien Obituary

Age 88, of Plymouth, MN went to be with the Lord June 25, 2021. Joan had a strong faith in God and was an active member of her church. She had a deep love for family and enjoyed spending countless hours researching her genealogy. Joan’s passion for genealogy led her in travels to Finland & Sweden, meeting one of her cousins. She also visited various homesteads & areas where her ancestors once lived.

Preceded in death by beloved husband, Richard O’Brien; parents, Emanuel and Sadie Hagel. She will be greatly missed by: daughter, Cheryl (Edward) Puumala; son, Gregory O’Brien; granddaughters, Kristen, Jennifer, Natalie and Tiffany (Nathan); great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Lokie, Lexie, Kaleb and Douglas; brother, Robert (Carol) Hagel; many other dear relatives and friends.
Funeral service 1:30 PM Saturday, July 10 at Plymouth Lutheran Church, 11015 Old County Rd. 15. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Lakewood Cemetery, Mpls. Memorials may be directed to Plymouth Lutheran Church or to donor’s favorite charity.
