John Frederick Friedmeyer III

Friedmeyer III, John Frederick of Plymouth, MN, born 12/2/1940 in Des Moines, IA, died 5/18/2019. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Bonnie (West) Friedmeyer; son, John Friedmeyer IV (Julia Matthews); daughters, Anita Friedmeyer (Dan Vacek) and Wendy Friedmeyer (Mike Maybay); 5 grandchildren, John Friedmeyer V (Denise), Joseph Friedmeyer (Mary), Molly Aung (LaMin), Alice Friedmeyer Vacek, and Matthew Friedmeyer-Rager (Alice Wienke);  great-grandchild, Hans Friedmeyer, and extended Minnesota family; niece, Michelle Pittman (Anthony Pyatt), and nephew Doug Pittman (Janice Beck). John is also survived by his very much loved sister, Linda Johnson (Terry); brother-in-law, Phil Pittman; nephews, Mike, Chris, Scott, and Jeff; grand-nieces and nephews and many friends.

It is impossible in this short space to adequately share the impact he had on us all and what a kind, loving, and generous person he was. He will be missed by all those whose lives he’s touched.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held 5/22/19, from 6-8 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, 5/23/2019 at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, 3755 Dunkirk Lane, Plymouth with a gathering one hour prior to the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Frauenschuh Cancer Center, Good Samaritan Society, Plymouth Presbyterian Church, and the Animal Humane Society, Golden Valley, MN
