John McCune Obituary

Age 73, of Plymouth, Minnesota passed away August 9, 2018. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Connie and their children, Chris (Holly) McCune and Kathryn (Chris) Atterberry; grandchildren, Sierra, Malayna, Cameron, Kellen and Greyson; sisters, Pat McCune and Cindy (Dave) Lorenzen; many nieces, nephews and friends.

John graduated from Grand Island High School in Nebraska and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He began his 40 year career at Wells Fargo (previously Norwest) as a management trainee. He retired as head of Institutional Brokerage & Sales. John loved; his wife Connie who he had great adventures with traveling and enjoying life, watching his children grow and have families of their own, following the stock market, Husker football, a good prime rib and any golf course. Golf was the backdrop of many stories in his life. Another great joy was becoming “Bop Bop” to his two granddaughters and three grandsons. He was never shy about telling a story or three about them. 

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, August 16 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to Mass at The Church of The Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Wayzata, Minnesota 55391. Celebration to follow at Wayzata Country Club, 200 Wayzata Blvd West. Visitation Wednesday, August 15 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, from 5-7 PM.  Memorials preferred to The First Tee.
