Jon R Upton

age 53 passed away on July 29th peacefully surrounded by family and close friends. He is survived by his parents Bob and Bonnie Upton, Brother Jason (Rachel) Upton, nieces Emma and Lucy, nephews Sam and Oliver, and adoring friend Doneta Olson.  

He graduated from Wayzata High School and attended Brown Institute where he studied Computer and Information Technology.  He worked for Cyber Advisors in Maple Grove. 

His interests included music, riding his Harley, being with friends, reading, and fishing. Jon cared deeply for other people, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was deeply patriotic and was very active in charity events. 

Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 19th at 2pm (visitation starting at 12:30), at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN. Interment immediately following the service at Holy Name Cemetery.

In his memory, we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Society of MN,  Wounded Warriors Project, or a charity of your choice.  

Jon will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.
