Marilyn L. (Lundquist) Carlson

Carlson, Marilyn Mae Lundquist died on January 3, 2022 of natural causes. She was born October 6, 1939 in Willmar, MN.

Marilyn married Donald Schmidt in 1959. They were married until September 1976 when Don lost his battle with cancer. A couple years later she met Don Carlson and they married on January 1, 1980. Throughout her adult life, Marilyn was a member of the Wayzata Chapter of Eastern Star. She loved the work she did with Eastern Star, and it allowed her to see the world and make friends everywhere. She was also a devoted member of Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.

 Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Vendale and Marjorie; husband, Don Schmidt and husband, Don Carlson. She is survived by her children, Joan Walsh (Jack), Dana Miller (Mark), Lon Schmidt (Kathy), Colin Schmidt (Jodi) and Clark Schmidt (Lisa); stepchildren, Susan Dreyer (Martin), Patricia, John (Mary), and Paul (Babbs). Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Reynolds (Clarence), Nancy Ramey (Deryl) and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata.  Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
