Marilyn Ann Iverson (Mills) was born in Minneapolis on April 28, 1938 to parents Gregory and Violet Mills. She attended Roosevelt High School where she met and fell in love with Kenneth Iverson. Together they raised 4 children, residing in south Minneapolis, Omaha, NE, and eventually settling in Plymouth, MN. Marilyn worked in various positions within the Wayzata School District, where she enjoyed working with children and also made many very special lifelong friends. If not at home in Plymouth, she and Ken could be found "up north", camping, fishing, biking, or walking in the north woods they both loved. Marilyn spent a life on the move, enjoying tennis, bowling, canoeing, walking, or doing anything active, and if there was a grandchild involved, you'd find her at any number of sporting events, recitals or birthday parties. In later years she enjoyed getting together with friends for coffee, visiting their cabins, or just being with family. No matter the location or the occasion, if Marilyn was there, you'd surely hear the laughter and feel the fun energy. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory and Violet Mills; brother, William Mills, and her beloved husband of 59 years, Kenneth Gary Iverson. She is survived by children, Dawn Johnson (Ron Arnold), Gregory Iverson (Fran), Kenneth Iverson (Sue), Kristin Iverson-Jones; grandchildren, Jenny, Bobby, Caitlin, K.C., Jack, Grace, Sarah, Cooper and Sophie; brother, Eugene Mills; sister, Donna Zellner (Bob); sister-in-laws, Carole Iverson and Sharon Mills and many special nieces, nephews and friends. Announcement of memorial service to follow at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice that reflects your own cherished memories of time spent with Marilyn or an organization you feel represents something she loved.
