Norene Marchant

Age 87. Passed away on July 30, 2020. She was a born in Nebraska, is formerly of Plymouth, MN. Resided in Sparks, NV for 25 years. Norene attended College of St Catherine nursing school in Omaha and North Hennepin Community College where she received her Accounting degree. She practiced many years of accounting for the family’s bicycle business, Crystal Schwinn Cyclery and for Carisch Theatres, in Wayzata, MN. Her hobbies included sewing and bowling. She participated in league bowling and attended an annual bowling tournament for many years. Norene sewed wedding dresses for herself, her daughters and niece. She continued sewing by making stuffed animals for the fire departments in Sparks, NV in her retirement. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Odell Marchant Jr.; her parents, Freida and John Imholte;  brother, Urban; son, Thomas Marchant. Deeply missed by her children, Michael (Susan), Joseph, James, Mary (Wayne), Margaret, Betty (Patrick); daughter-in-law, Kim Potter (Todd); grandchildren, Sheree (Matt), Sophenia, Jason (Chris), Carl, Thomas Jr. (Katie), Lauren (Tommy), Savannah, Abby, Roman, Sierra, Nathan, Grace and Katie; great-grandchildren, Catherine, Isaac, Jameson, Magdalena, Imogen, Lexis, Nora, Eleanor; niece and nephew, Deborah and Rodney. Funeral service Wednesday August 19, 10 AM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
