Oscar Erickson Obituary

Erickson, Oscar Donald age 97 of Minnetonka passed away October 16, 2021.  Born in Hallock, Minnesota September 24, 1924 to Mathias “Matt” and Hilda Maria “Mary” Erickson.  Survived by nephews, Gary (Margerette) Dahlgren, Kalispell, MT, Dennis Winge (Pam), Donaldson, MN, and Randy Dahlgren (Christine), Davis, California; grand nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.  He was the last surviving male member of the Hallock High School Class of 1942.  Preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean; parents; sister and brother-in-laws, Mabel (Marvin) Winge, Della (Vincent) Dahlgren.  He was a WWII Army Veteran and received his Engineering Degree from North Dakota Agricultural College (now North Dakota State University) in August 1946.  Retired from Northern Ordance Division of FMC Corp in 1987. Oscar enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.  Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.  Funeral service 11:00 am Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 115 Wayzata Boulevard West, Wayzata with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
