Englund, Paul A. age 85 of Minnetonka, passed away on June 7th surrounded by love and prayers, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was a graduate of Dunwoody Institute, served in the Army in Puerto Rico, and owned his own tool and die business before retiring at age 50. In retirement, “Dr Quack” was well known in the community for his award winning, handmade duck and goose calls. He was inducted into the Minnesota Waterfowl Association Hall of Fame for his efforts in the community. He was a leader and a mentor to many. Paul was happily married to his loving wife, Charlotte (Ost), for over 66 years. He and Charlotte had three children, Mark (Darlene), Jill, and Matthew (deceased in 2005). Paul was a star grandfather, and was loved immensely by his two grandchildren, Abigaile (daughter of Matthew) and Luke (son of Mark). His younger brother, William (Jane) live outside of Chicago, Il. Paul was preceded in death by 2 brothers, David and Harold and parents, Earnest and Viola (Cook). Memorial Service will be held at Wayzata Community Church on Monday June 13th, visitation beginning at 10 am, service at 11 am (a light lunch will be served). Interment at Groveland Cemetery in Minnetonka to follow. Memorials to Ducks Unlimited, and Trout Unlimited.
