Phyllis Dorothy (Korman) Foreman, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 14, 2020 at her home in Plymouth. She was born on May 7, 1948 in Chicago, Ill. She graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University. She married Bart Foreman on June 30, 1968. The couple resided in Chicago and New Jersey before settling in Minnetonka in 1976. She began her business career in advertising working for several agencies in Chicago and New York. In Minnesota, she worked for multiple agencies before joining the Musicland Group for 10 years. She then joined Bart in managing Group 3 Marketing for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, gardening, tennis, playing backgammon and sitting by the pool.
Phyllis was an active and passionate member of Wayzata Community Church, serving on the church council, deacon emerita and most recently, involved in the church’s Parables Ministry.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bart; her two daughters, Leah (Jeff) and Sarah; and brother, Gary (Carolyn). She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eleanor.
Visitation will take place at 2 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Wayzata Community Church (125 Wayzata Blvd. E, Wayzata, MN 55391) prior to the church service at 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. Memorials to the Parables Ministry at Wayzata Community Church.
