Our dearly loved Scott, age 65, of Minneapolis passed away June 8, 2021. Preceded in death by his father, Douglas Baker.
Scott graduated from MCAD in Illustration, making his mark in the design industry early on. He started Baker Associates in 1987. His creative energy inspired more than 100 employees over 33 years, and elevated local and international brands. His full-hearted leadership will be greatly missed.
Survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughters, Betsy, Allison (Ray), and Kathryn (Daniel); son, Scott Jr. (Shannel); grandchildren, Penelope and Niamh; his mother, Arlene Baker; sister, Judy (Harald); brothers, Doug (Libby), Paul (Bev), and Todd (Christy).
Many will remember him as a business powerhouse. But for us he was all the moments in-between. The pause. The slowdown. He loved and appreciated nothing more than the outdoors and its creatures. His heart was for the sea: an avid boater and scuba diver, he could always be found dreaming on the water.
Hark now hear the sailor’s cry, smell the sea and feel the sky,
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic
