William “Bill” Francis Krantz, Jr. 

It is with much sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Bill on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the age of 72. 

Bill was born on September 16, 1948 in Portland, Maine. He was adopted by the late William and Frances Krantz. As a military family they moved cross country numerous times. Bill graduated from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served until November 1971. Bill continued his education and received his Master’s degree from Gonzaga University. Bill worked various jobs in his early career but found his work home when he began at Phonak, a Swiss hearing aid company with their US Headquarters in Chicago, IL. Bill was a Territory Manager for Phonak and developed many lifelong friendships with his co-workers and numerous clients, many of which became family. Besides Bill’s family and work family, he enjoyed his new kayak as well as hunting, fishing and traveling with our dear friends. 

Bill is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife, Terre; daughters Katie Bradley and husband Ben, Kelli Hengel and husband Mark and two amazing and beautiful granddaughters, Jensen and Leighton Bradley (They were the apple of their Papa’s eye), Sister and Brother in law Jeff and Pam Morehead and too many wonderful and lifelong friends to list. Also survived by Carrie Krantz Shearer, Kristin Crosley and James Krantz. 

There will be a celebration of Bill’s life on Saturday, October 3rd starting at 11:00am and ending at 3:00 PM at our house. This will be an open house to come and go as you please. It is an outside COVID careful celebration and a mask will be required except when eating or drinking. Address is 16340 22nd Avenue North, Plymouth, MN 55447. 

A private family service will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
