Brent Daniel LaMere, 28, of Minneapolis, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 1, 2022. Born at home on December 18, 1993, in Rockford, Minnesota, the beloved only son of Daniel and Debra LaMere. He was tenaciously his own spirit from day one, with a constant twinkle in his eyes. Brent attended Spring Hill Waldorf School for grades K-6 and Rockford for grades 7-12. He graduated from Rockford High School in 2012. He proudly worked at Sam's Landscape in Independence for the last 6 years. He was an accomplished snowmobile rider, loved sports, video games, music, his fantasy leagues and stand-up comedy. Brent was known and loved by many for his funny retorts and witty one liners. He never passed up a chance to roast those he loved, and now it’s his turn (and we’re not just talking about cremation).

As a lifelong athlete and sports fan, he respectfully requests six Atlanta Falcons pallbearers so the Falcon's can let him down one last time.

After a lifetime of pressure to fulfill his family legacy of being actively engaged in politics, Brent finally managed a way to get out of voting that wouldn’t result in being scolded by his parents.

Brent was vehemently loyal and could always be counted on. Counted on to lose his keys, wallet, phone etc… (you name it, he lost it). To show up late, with a baseball cap on, turn on “the game” and take a nap on the couch. To beat his mom at their Friday night card games. To get stuck snowmobiling in the mountains, and cheer his Dad on as he dug his sled back out. To tell anyone that would listen how Kobe Bryant was better than LeBron James. To take a bite of everyone else’s meals and cry when food was too spicy. To be the slowest beer chugger of all time. To sing (quite poorly) along to his favorite music at incredibly high decibels. Counted on to make everyone around him feel included and loved. To laugh his signature, unforgettable laugh.

Brent was a fun loving, loyal, kind and caring man who never passed up the opportunity to go boating or play foosball and his greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family. He will always be loved greatly and missed deeply. He is survived by his father, Daniel LaMere and mother, Debra Hagman LaMere of Hamel, MN; sisters, Melissa LaMere-Dragovich of Cokato, MN and Jennifer LaMere of Golden Valley, MN; brothers-in-law, Paul Dragovich and Tony Jakel; nephew, Arthur Jakel; dog, Sadie and other dear relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl Hagman, Violet Hagman, Teresa LaMere and Lawrence LaMere, and his dog Molly. A Celebration of Brent's Life Party will be held from 1:00pm-5:00pm on Saturday November 19, 2022 at the Hamel Community Building, 3200 Mill St, Hamel MN 55340. The LaMere family encourages everyone to bring memories and stories of Brent to share at his party and to wear their Atlanta Falcons, Twins, or Wild clothing in honor of Brent (please refrain from wearing black). In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to recognize that Matt Ryan is the best NFL Quarterback in the history of the league.
